Pea soup with ham

Hot smoked ham — to taste
Yellow peas — to taste
Potatoes — to taste
Carrots — to taste
Dill — to taste
Salt — to taste
Ground black pepper — to taste

Cut ham and potatoes.
Grat carrots.
Put everything in boiling salted water, including peas.
Add ground black pepper.
Mix it up.
Simmer for at least an hour.

Add chopped dill a couple of minutes before the end of cooking the soup.
